Hey everyone, Hope you all are doing well. Today I am here with a review on Nivea Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover which i bought last month while doing shopping at a store. Before this I've never and ever tried any eye make-up remover. I usually use Virgin Olive Oil to remove my eye makeup and that's pretty good to remove my eye makeup but who likes to put oil on eyes? This is something that pushed me to try an eye makeup remover rather than oil. Is Nivea Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover really do what it claims?? Read more to find...

Nivea Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover

Nivea Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover with its light, oil free formulation that gently removes eye make-up preventing irritation of the delicate eye area. It is enriched with Pro-Vitamin B5 that is gentle to eyes, soothes the skin and effectively removes water-soluble mascara. It moisturizes and takes care of the sensitive eye area. It does not leave unpleasant greasy residue.
Skin compatibility, dermatologically and ophthalmologically approved.

My Thoughts
Nivea Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover comes in a matte light blue bottle, with a flip-flop cap that closes very well. The texture is watery and the formula is Oil Free, therefore it does not leave greasy film residue on the skin's surface. It has a mild scent that doesn't bother me and lingers away after a while.

To be honest, this product is pretty average. This makeup remover stung my eyes, even though i was careful when I take my eye makeup off, but it stings. This one is not good on waterproof cosmetics as it claims to remove only water-soluble makeup. I tried to remove my non water-proof gel liner but it does not completely remove it in one go - it generally takes 3-4 swipes to remove all traces effectively from the skin. Only the plus point is it leaves eye skin soft and smooth without feeling dry making it ideal for sensitive skin types.

Overall, I did not like it. I will continue using until it's used up but I wouldn't repurchase.

My Rating

I got mine for Rs. 525 from Metro C & C Store, Karachi. You could also purchase Nivea products at

Which is your favorite makeup remover? Have you tried this one?

Oh I remember trying this at my friend's! You're right, it's not really effective for waterproof makeup. I tried it for cleaning my brushes though in between makeup. specially the blending, shading and eyeliner brush.
